Direct Support Professional / Employment Professional

Location: Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington County (Remote/Field-Based)
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time available

 

About the Role:

Join Oregon Provider, a family-owned Medicaid agency serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking dedicated professionals to provide 1:1 and community-based supports in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties. Our flexible scheduling and localized caseloads promote healthy work-life balance — with no required overtime.

 

Pay Rates:

  • Direct Support Providers $23.00 Per Hours

  • Vocational Rehabilitation & ODDS Employment Supports: $25 Per Hour

  • Oregon Commission for the Blind Personal Assistant $25 Per Hour

  • ​Oregon Commission for the Blind Employment Service $30 Per Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide skills training and support in the home, community, and employment settings

  • Assist clients with meal preparation, medication support, transportation, and advocacy

  • Help coordinate and attend appointments, shopping trips, and community activities

  • Promote socialization, independence, and communication skills

  • Participate in company events while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for clients


Requirements:

  • Must pass criminal background, driving record, and Child Protective Services (CPS) checks

  • Must have a reliable vehicle with active insurance coverage of 100/300/100 and a smartphone or tablet

  • Compassionate, dependable, and proactive, with a strong work ethic

  • Strong life skills, communication abilities, and the ability to teach and support others

Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:

As a DSP at Oregon Provider, you will support individuals in their daily lives through:

  • Skills training and daily living support

  • Attendant care in home and community settings

  • Community inclusion and engagement activities

  • Cooking and meal preparation

  • Medication assistance and health-related support

  • Scheduling and attending medical appointments

  • Shopping and money management assistance

  • Advocating for client needs and preferences

  • Transportation to and from community activities

  • Participation in company social events with clients

  • Safety supports to ensure well-being

  • Support with communication and socialization skills

DSP Qualifications:
Pass a criminal, driving, and CPS background check (CRIMS)

Independent thinker with strong decision-making skills

Own a smartphone or tablet for documentation and communication

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Have reliable transportation with valid proof of insurance

Maintain liability insurance of 100k/300k/100k

Patient, compassionate, and understanding of client needs

Dependable, reliable, and committed to quality care

Strong problem-solving abilities

Possess solid life skills and the ability to teach and support others

Progress into Employment Supports with Experience: 

Oregon Provider offers opportunities for DSPs to advance into Employment Support roles as they gain experience and demonstrate readiness.

  • VR & ODDS Employment Supports: $25.00/hour

  • OCB Personal Assistant Services: $25.00/hour

  • We provide certification and training for all qualified DSPs to become certified in Employment Supports, opening the door to increased responsibilities and higher pay.
