Direct Support Professional / Employment Professional

Location: Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington County (Remote/Field-Based)
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time available

 

About the Role:

Join Oregon Provider, a family-owned Medicaid agency serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking dedicated professionals to provide 1:1 and community-based supports in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties. Our flexible scheduling and localized caseloads promote healthy work-life balance — with no required overtime.

 

Pay Rates:

  • Direct Support Providers $23.00 Per Hours

  • Vocational Rehabilitation & ODDS Employment Supports: $25 Per Hour

  • Oregon Commission for the Blind Personal Assistant $25 Per Hour

  • ​Oregon Commission for the Blind Employment Service $30 Per Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide skills training and support in the home, community, and employment settings

  • Assist clients with meal preparation, medication support, transportation, and advocacy

  • Help coordinate and attend appointments, shopping trips, and community activities

  • Promote socialization, independence, and communication skills

  • Participate in company events while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for clients


Requirements:

  • Must pass criminal background, driving record, and Child Protective Services (CPS) checks

  • Must have a reliable vehicle with active insurance coverage of 100/300/100 and a smartphone or tablet

  • Compassionate, dependable, and proactive, with a strong work ethic

  • Strong life skills, communication abilities, and the ability to teach and support others

ODDS Job Coaching Supports: $25 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized in-home support with daily living tasks, personal care, and household management

  • Deliver life skills training aligned with individual client goals, fostering greater independence

  • Encourage and support communication skills, social interaction, and relationship building

  • Assist with medication reminders and administration in accordance with care plans

  • Schedule, coordinate, and accompany clients to medical, dental, and therapeutic appointments

  • Offer transportation, shopping assistance, and advocacy to support client needs and preferences

  • Promote community inclusion by engaging clients in local events, recreational activities, and volunteer opportunities

  • Support clients in navigating community resources, employment, and educational programs

  • Ensure safety, comfort, and dignity in all settings, whether at home or in the community
